New Book “Shaheednama” Tells the Untold Story of Shaheeds of Aloarkh

Aloarkh, Sangrur: A new book penned by Bhai Malkeet Singh Bhawanigarh tells the untold story of Shaheeds of Aloarkh village. Aloarkh is a historic village in Sangrur district. 

The book titled “Shaheednama (Aloarkh De Shaheed)” was released jointly by Shaheed families, Panth Sewak Bhai Daljit Singh, Bhai Hardeep Singh Mehraj and other personalities on 29 August 2023 during a Shaheedi Samagam held at Gurdwara Manji Sahib, Patshahi 9vi, Aloarkh.

This book sheds light on life, struggle and martyrdom of Shaheed Piara Singh, Shaheed Bibi Bharpur Kaur, Shaheed Bhai Amar Singh, Shaheed Bhai Shamsher Singh, Shaheed Saudagar Singh and Shaheed Bahadur Singh.

Published as its first publication by Nisaan Parkashan, this is the second book by young author Bhai Malkeet Singh. His first book “Vakh-Vakh Gurdwarian Te Hoye Fauji Hamlian Di Vitheya”, published by Bibekgarh Publication, is based on eye-witness accounts of Indian Army’s invasion of various Gurdwaras in June 1984. This book has compiled a list and details of 65 Gurdwara Sahibs that were invented by the Indian Army in June 1984.
