Ferozepur, Punjab: A poll violence related incident in a Ferozepur village took the life of a man today. Notably, polling for village Panchyats is being held in the state today.
It is learnt that some armed person captured a polling booth at Lakhmirke village in Mamdot block of Ferozepur district. One Mahinder Singh son of Sahib Singh reportedly opposed the booth capturing. As per media reports he was bateanup up and dragged out of the premises.
Mahinder Singh was reportedly hit by a Scorpio car and he died. His family members say that he was delibrately crushed by the opposite party after attack.
SSP Pritam Singh visited the spot after the incident. More details were awaited at the time of writing this report.
