In a written statement issued today (copy available with the Sikh Siyasat News), Simranjit Singh Mann said that their equal rights granted under Article 14, 19 and 21 of the (Indian) Constitution were being violated in an “immoral way”. He was referring to alleged restriction placed by government to prevent their participation in Samagams to mark 350th Parkash Gurpurab of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

He said that the members of the Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) and other associated groups will observe the Parkash Gurpurab of Guru Gobind Singh Ji on January 5 at Takht Kesgarh Sahib.
