Punjab Police Firing on Swift Car Near Samana Kills Innocent Girl, At Least 2 Injurred

Samana: A 25 years old girl was killed in Punjab police firing on a Swift car at Nawan Gaon near Samana in Patiala district. As per Zee PHH (Punjab, Haryana & Himachal) the police opened firing at a Swift car in which a girl named Neha was killed. Another person travelling in car and a passerby motorcyclist also sustained bullet injuries.

Other persons travelling in the car told media persons that the police had signalled them to stop the car but before they could stop the car the police opened firing from front which led to death of Neha.

Notably, Sukhbir Badal had told media earlier today that the Punjab police had an encounter with the escapees but he had not disclosed any further details. It is believed that the Deputy CM had referred to the firing near Samana as ‘encounter’ with the escapees.
