SAD (A) to contest 20 Lok Sabha seats in 4 states; Mann re-elected as Party President for 5 years

Amritsar, Punjab (February 03, 2014): According to information Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) executive has re-elected former MP, S. Simranjeet Singh Mann as party president for next five years. SAD (Amritsar) has also announced that it will contest the Lok Sabha elections from at least 20 constituencies in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi.

As per inforamtion available with the Sikh Siaysat News (SSN) the party held a meeting at Amritsar on February 01, wherein it’s members unanimously re-elected S. Simranjeet Singh Mann as the party president for another five years.

S. Simranjeet Singh Mann reportedly told media persons that he would soon announce the party’s organisational structure.

“We will contest all the 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab and Sikh-dominated seats in other states,” he added.

He said the party had decided to expand its general house and council.

According to The Tribune: “Mann, who has been critical of the Badal Government, promised to give representation to people from various walks of life”.
