Chandigarh/Delhi, India (January 04, 2012): All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) has welcomed the initiative taken by Indian Army to hold an inquiry into the claim made by former Sikh officers of Indian army that at least 6 Sikh officers of Indian Army we also massacred at Tuglkabad and Nagloi in Delhi during November 1984 genocidal violence against the Sikhs.

It is notable that a press conference was organized by AISSF, Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) and some retired Army officers at Chandgiarh on December 17, 2012 in which they had revealed that 6 Sikh Officers were burned alive during 1984 Sikh Genocide in Tuglkabad and Nagloi areas.

AISSF President Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad said that this matter should also be raised in parliament.

He said that Indian courts should also take suo-motu cognizance of this matter, which tarnishes the image of the country.

AISSF president said that an independent investigation should be conducted into it so that the facts could be affirmed.

“If Army personnel are also seen as different entities as regard to religion, then this in itself is contradiction of the constitution in India, which provides for the secularism in the Country”, Peermohammad added.

AISSF President said that investigation should be made to find out that at what other places in India, this kind of tragedy happened.
