Sikh bodies protest in Sirsa; Demand ban on MSG movie

Sirsa, Haryana: Representatives of various Sikh organizations of Haryana and the local Sikh sangat of Sirsa took out a protest march to demand ban on controversial godman and Sirsa based dera sacha sauda’s head Gurmeet Ram Rahim.

Hundreds of Sikhs took to streets on Jan. 19 at Sirsa to oppose the proposed release of controversial movie “Messenger of God (MSG)”. Protesters were holding “black flags” and they raised slogans against the controversial movie.

Panthic Sewa Lehar chief Baba Baljit Singh, Gurdeep Singh Bathinda (United Akali Dal), Jagdish Singh Jhinda (HSGMC – adhoc), Baba Pardeep Singh Chand-purana, Baba Avtar Singh Sadhanwala, Prof. Gurcharan Singh Sirsa and others handed over a “memorandum” to the Sirsa administration demanding “ban” on MSG.
