Sikh body to hold candle light vigil on HR Day

Amritsar (November 19, 2010): All India Sikh Students Federation have decided to organize a peaceful candle march on International Human Rights Day, 10th of December in evening at Amritsar (Sri Akaltakht Sahib) to raise voice against people who were involved in killing of Sikhs in November 1984 Sikh Genocide. President of AISSF Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad said that from previous 26 years the victims and witnesses of November 1984 Sikh Genocide are fighting for justice but government and courts have not given them the right justice. All the people in the world celebrate the Human Rights Day on December 10, every year and we take this opportunity to appeal the organization of Universal Declaration of Human Rights to support us in helping victims and witnesses of November 1984 Sikh Genocide. A Meeting regarding this declaration took place in Chandigarh today at Gurudwara Shaheedi Bhagh which involved more than 200 people including former member of SGPC Mr.Amrinder Singh and Social Worker Bibi Manjit Kaur.
Sikhs for justice (U.S based human rights group) has also given their full support to AISSF in this activity, Mr.Gurpatwant Singh Pannun the legal adviser of Sikhs for justice said that they will also do some programme on International Human Rights day on December 10th in U.S.A.
