Sangrur: In a bid to uphold and promote the rich Sikh traditions of reverence and respect towards Shri Guru Sahib, the Sikh Jatha Malwa has recently unveiled a significant publication titled “Adabnama.“
The Sikh Jatha Malwa, known for its dedicated efforts to preserve Sikh principles and values, had previously released a Punjabi version of the booklet. Now, with the release of the English edition, they aim to reach the Sikh diaspora sections and facilitate a deeper understanding of the panthic tradition of ‘adab’ of Guru Granth Sahib.
Published by Neesaan Parkashan, “Adabnama” delves into the sacred tradition of extending respect to Shri Guru Sahib, highlighting what needs to be done in present times.
During the simple yet solemn ceremony held at Gurdwara Jandsar Sahib in village Khadial, five Sikhs collectively performed Ardaas before Guru Granth Sahib, seeking blessings for the dissemination of the booklet among the Sikh Sangat.
The release of “Adabnama” signifies a concerted effort by Sikh Jatha Malwa to foster a deeper connection with Sikh traditions and values, especially among the younger generation. By presenting these timeless principles in booklet format, the Jatha aims to spread awareness amongst the global Sikh community.
Commenting on the significance of the booklet, representatives from Sikh Jatha Malwa emphasized the importance of upholding the Panthic tradition to overcome challenges posed by repeated incidents of beadbi.
As “Adabnama” makes its way into the hands of the Sikh Sangat, it is poised to become a valuable resource for both the devout and the curious, offering profound insights into the tradition and practices that uphold “adab” of Guru Sahib. With its publication, Sikh Jatha Malwa reaffirms its commitment to preserving and promoting the timeless wisdom of Sikhi for generations to come.
