Sikh and Kashmiri Diaspora groups in Canada to demonstrate against Indian occupation on Aug. 07

Ontario (Press Release): Sikhs and Kashmiri sympathizers will join hands on Sunday Aug 7^th 2016 to mark the day of Independence of India as a Black Day. The Sikhs and Kashmiris have suffered deaths in thousands in the hands of Indian forces and Indian police for decades. There is no reason that India shall be celebrating their independence without actually giving independence to their people.

In the wake of the murder of the liberation leader of Maqbooza Kashmir Burhan Muzaffar Wani, subsequent killing of more than 50 unarmed Muslims, and consecutive 17 days curfew still continue is being imposed by illegal occupant Indian forces. The people of the state have been detained without food, water, and necessary medical facilities in their homes. The state has been completely cut off from rest of the country.

It is strongly demanded that the Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA) be repelled immediately as it is giving a license to Indian army to kill innocent in Maqbooza Kashmir, and Punjab (Khalistan) said Habib Yousafzai, the chairman of Kashmir Diaspora Alliance.

The Sikhs of Punjab has been suppressed by the central Government for 6 decades including attack of the holiest shrine Sri Darbar Sahib killing thousands still unaccounted for, followed by Sikh Genocide in Nov 1984 in New Delhi and other parts of India.

On July 24^th 2016, a delegation under the leadership of ex-mp S. Simranjit Singh Mann, president of Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar has been barred to enter Kashmir region, which intends to raise awareness of Maqbooza Kashmiri Genocide. The delegation was supposed to visit grave sites of all 50 innocent people killed by Indian Army.

We demand that the people of Kashmir & the people of Punjab should be given the Right to decide their plight through plebiscite under the watch of United Nations said Sukhminder Singh Hansra president of Akali Dal Amritsar Canada East.

A protest has been arranged to denounce the independence of India and mark August 15 as a BLACK DAY for SIKHS & KASHMIRIS. Every Canadian citizen who believes in Human Rights and Rights of minorities to live must attend this peaceful protest.
