New Delhi, India: Sikh political prisoner Daya Singh Lahoria was reportedly admitted to Din Dyal Hospital on Thursday (Oct. 03) after his health condition deteriorated to serious point. Bibi Kamaljit Kaur, wife of Daya Singh Lahoria accused jail authorities for negligence that led to further deterioration in health condition of her husband. She said that her husband had a stone in stomach but the jail authorities did not provide him proper treatment as a result he developed serious infection in his body.
Bibi Kamaljit Kaur told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that police was not allowing them to see her husband. She further said that DSGMC officials have been informed of the situation. “We are seeking help of DSGMC to ensure proper treatment of my husband” she added.
On being contacted Parmjit Singh Rana of DSGMC informed that the Delhi Sikh body has written a letter to authorities, including high officials of Tihar Jail asking them to ensure proper treatment of Daya Singh Lahoria.
In a written statement sent to the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), United Khalsa Dal (U.K.) has expressed concerns over health condition of Daya Singh Lahoria. The UK Sikh body has appealed to the Sikh organizations in Delhi to come forward to ensure proper treatment of Lahoria.
