Students hold Sikh Genocide 1984 remembrance march at Punjabi University

Patiala: An annual Sikh Genocide 1984 Remembrance March was organized by students of Punjabi University, Patiala on November 03, 2016 at Punjabi University Campus in the memory of victims of the Sikh Genocide 1984.

Ranjeet Singh, a University student, told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that the march started at Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha Library and it concluded at Gurudwara Sahib located in Punjabi University campus.

“The purpose of this event was to remember the innocents who were victimized during the bloody events of Sikh genocide 1984” he added.

Ranjeet Singh said that the students are also organizing a seminar on “Sikh Genocide 1984” at Punjabi University Patiala on Nov. 8 (Tuesday). Sikh historian and author Bhai Ajmer Singh, senior journalist and author of Gujarat Files Rana Ayyub and Parmjeet Singh (Editor, Sikh Siyasat News) would be main speakers during this seminar.
