SGPC Appointed Jathedars Summon Sukhbir Badal over Rebels’ Letter

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), five appointed Jathedars have summoned Sukhbir Badal, former president of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal), following allegations leveled by a rebel faction of the party.

In the wake of names of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, who is already serving life sentence in a rape and murder case, and his girl friend Honeypreet came into limelight in a sacrilege case of 2015, the Dal Khalsa has asked the Punjab government to immediately bring both the criminals to Punjab on police remand for interrogation. 

Gurmeet Ram Rahim “Secretly” Granted Parole by Haryana BJP Govt.

BJP led government in Haryana reportedly granted Gurmeet Ram Rahim a day’s parole on October 24. Gurmeet Ram Rahim is head of Dera Sauda Sirsa and is undergoing jail after he was convicted by a special CBI court for murder and rape.

Dera Sauda Sirsa came in clash with the Sikhs in 2007 when Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim attempted to personify himself as Tenth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and staged a darama of Amrit Sanskar. Personification of Sikh Guru or staging drama of Amrit Sanskar is strictly prohibited in the Sikh tradition.
