Nanak Shah Fakir is a movie by Harinder Sikka who claims that the movie depicts the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Ji. The SGPC has already rejected this movie as it violates Sikh traditions under which Sikh Guru Sahib can not be depicted as a character of any play or movie etc.

As per information posted on website of the Sikh Students Federation (SSF), Guru Teg Bahadur Group of Colleges, Chhapianwali, Malout unit of SSF will be organizing a special lecture of Dr. Sewak Singh on 27 February, 2012 to mark the day which signifies the importance of mother language.
