Punjab Police have arrested two individuals in connection with the murder of Gurpreet Singh Hari Nau, a Sikh activist and close associate of slain actor-turned-activist Deep Sidhu. The arrests were announced on 10 November 2024 following a joint operation by the Special Squad of Special Operations Cell (SSOC) Mohali, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), and the Faridkot Police.
The Antim Ardas for Sikh activist Gurpreet Singh Hari Nau, who was murdered on October 9, 2024, took place on October 27 at Gurdwara Sahib in his home village of Hari Nau, Faridkot district.
