Delhi/Ludhiana, India/Punjab (November 18, 2012): It is learnt that the Akal Takhat Sahib Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh has set up a three-member committee to probe the incident of bloody clash between Sarna and Badal factions of Shiromani Akali Dal at Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib on November 15, 2012 in Delhi.
New York (November 11, 2012): Parkash Singh Badal, CM Punjab, who is facing human rights violation case in US has challenged the “proof of service” submitted by the rights group ‘Sikhs For Justice” (SFJ) claiming that US Federal Court’s summons were personally handed to the Badal on August 09.
Punjab police personnel attempted to remove the devotees sitting in front of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib out of the Takhat Sahib. They were reportedly asked to either move out or sit near the walls, to make seating space for the guests from Canada and the leaders who escorted them. A SP level officer was reportedly supervising this conduct of Punjab police.
Tarn Taran/Punjab (October 20, 2012): According to media reports Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has warned that the move to amend the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Act, 1971, could “disturb hard-earned peace” of the state and asked the Congress leadership “to refrain from playing with fire”.

K. Sandhu an IAS Officer, who is Principal Secretary to Chief Minister to study and discuss the case with legal experts in US.

It is learnt that some Non-Resident Indian (NRI) bodies have advised the Punjab's Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir S. Badal to cancel his forthcoming visit to Canada, following the recent incident of lawsuit against Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal by Sikhs for Justice.

New York: (August 9, 2012): The visiting Chief Minister of the Indian State of Punjab, Parkash Badal was “Served Personally” with the summons issued by the US District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin in a human rights violation case (12-c-0806). The August 09 Proof of Service signed by Christopher G. Kratochvil, a professional process server from “State Processing Service Inc.”, states that “I personally served on Parkash Singh Badal, Indian Citizen, and CM of Punjab at Oak Creek High School, Wisconsin”.
New York (August 8, 2012): On August 8, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin issued Summons against visiting Chief Minister of the State of Punjab, Parkash Badal, on the charges of police custodial torture and shielding the Police officers, DGP Sumedh Saini and others who are responsible for the extra judicial killings and continuous human rights violations against the Sikh community in Punjab.

Fatehgarh Sahib (August 02, 2011): As per certain media reports the assailant of Dr. Jasbir Singh Ahluwalia got the attention of newly inaugurated Guru Granth Sahib University's Vice Chancellor by calling him "VC Sahib" before firing at him. The assailant fired first round in air and second toward VC's head, after grabbing attention by calling 'VC Sahib, SSP of Fatehgarh Sahib, Ranbir Singh Khatra is reported to have told media persons.
