Delhi, India (December 12, 2013): It is learnt that a Delhi court dismissed Congress leader Sajjan Kumar's plea seeking to drop nine CBI witnesses in a November 1984 Sikh carnage realted case in which he and three others are facing prosecution.
New Delhi, India (December 10, 2013): On World Human Rights Day, Sikh groups submitted a Memorandum to Ms. Lisa Grande, UN Resident Coordinator-India, urging her to report to the Human Rights Council about Congress party’s ongoing practice of protecting and rewarding its leaders who lead death squads in 1984.

A bench of justices P. K. Bhasin and V. P. Vaish issued notice to Centre and Delhi government for December 12.

Chicago, United States (November 27, 2013): The rights group “Sikhs for Justice” will file an appeal with the US Supreme Court challenging the Court of Appeal’s order dismissing the human rights violation case Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Badal. On November 26, a US Court of Appeals in Chicago dismissed the case on the ground that SFJ did not effectuate service of the Federal Court summons on CM Badal. The appeals court’s November 26 order by Judge Richard Posner of the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals while dismissing the appeal gives SFJ the right to re-file the lawsuit against CM Badal.

New York, United States (November 20, 2013): US Federal Court in its November 18th order has given “Sikhs for Justice” (SFJ) till December 3rd to file an amended complaint against Congress President Sonia Gandhi in the pending human rights violation case. Despite the opposition from Gandhi’s attorneys, the Federal court granted victims’ request for additional two weeks to amend the complaint about the role of Sonia Gandhi in protecting and shielding the Congress (I) leaders who participated in killing of Sikhs during 1984.

New Delhi, India (November 13, 2013): It is learnt that the Supreme Court of India has adjourned the hearing till November 18 on Congress leader and Sikh massacre 1984 accused Sajjan Kumar’s plea for quashing the charges framed by the trial court against him. Sajjan Kumar is facing charges for inciting a mob to kill six persons in Sultanpuri area of Delhi during the 1984 Sikh Genocide.
