Amritsar, Punjab (August 31, 2014): Shaheed Dilawar Singh, who laid his life on August 31, 1996 to end tyrant regime of Punjab chief minister Beant Singh, was remembered at Akal Takht Sahib by the Sikh nation. An annual function marked the martyrdom day of Bhai Dilawar at Akal Takht Sahib.
Amritsar, Punjab (August 29, 2014): Dal Khalsa has urged the Jathedar Akal Takht Gaini Gurbachan Singh to direct the SGPC to install the portrait of Bhai Dilawar Singh in the Sikh Central Museum to mark his 19th death anniversary on August 31.
Amritsar, Punjab (August 26, 2014): It is learnt that the martyrdom day of Shaheed Dilawar Singh will be observed at Akal Takht Sahib on 31 August. Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara, who is currently confined in Delhi based Tihar Jail, has issued an appeal to all Sikh organization to show unity on Shaeed Dilawar Singh's martyrdom day.
According to information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) the Sikh sangat observed the martyrdom day of Sikh freedom fighter General Labh Singh at Gurdwara Shaeed Singhan village Panjwar, near Jhabal.
Bhai Mani Singh Ji, a great Sikh scholar and martyr, was brought up in the early years of his life to the presence of Guru Tegh Bahadur at Anandpur. Bhai Mani Singh Ji holds the honor of being “baal sakhai-mittar” (childhood friend) of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Bhai Mani Singh Ji took Amrit after the Baisakhi of 1699. Soon after that Bhai Mani Singh Ji was entrusted with the Sewa of Harmandar Sahib, Amritsar by Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
According to a press note issued by S. Partap Singh, manager of Sachkahnd Sri Harmandar Sahib, the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandal Committee (SGPC) will be observing the martyrdom day of Shaheed Bhai Mani Singh Ji, granthi of Sri Harmandar Sahib, on 9 July, 2014.
Amritsar, Punjab (April 14, 2014): As per information members of Sikh Youth Federation (Bhindranwale) held an Ardas samagam in the memory of 13 Sikhs who were killed by so-called Nirankaris at Amritsar on the Vaisakhi day in 1978.

Gurdaspur, Punjab (January 06, 2014): An annual Shaheedi Samagam in the memory of Shaheed Satwant Singh Ji and Bhai Kehar Singh Ji was held at Village Agwaan, near Kalanaur, Distt Gurdaspur on 6 January, 2014 to mark the memory of great Sikh martyrs of the Sikh nation, who were hanged as per orders of Indian courts in Indira Gandhi assassination case on 6 Jan. 1989.
Amritsar, Punjab (January 06, 2014): An annual ardas samagam marked memory of Shaheed Satwant Singh and Shaeed Kehar Singh at Akal Takht Sahib, in Darbar Sahib complex at Amritsar. The samagam was attended by family members of Shaheed Satwant Singh besides Sikh sangat and representatives of various Sikh organizations.
Amritsar, Punjab (January 02, 2014): Sikh bodies Dal Khalsa and Akali Dal Panch Pardhani (ADPP) have appealed to the Sikh sangat to attend the Shaheedi ardas samagam to be held near Akal Takht Sahib (Darbar Sahib complex) in the memory of Shaheed Bhai Satwant Singh and Shaheed Bhai Kehar Singh.
A poem on new year, written by Sikh militant leader Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochahal was published in a Punjabi vernacular "Ajit" on January 01, 1993. The title of the poem was "Kiven Aakhan Navan Varah Mubarak Hove" (How could I say Happy New Year!".
In the Jagraon District of Punjab is a very blessed village called Kaunke. The Master of Miri Piri, Sahib Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji blessed this village stating the diamonds would be born from this village. Guru Ji stated this when he rested at the village on his journey to the Sind region.
