SikhLens, The Sikh Arts & Film Festival, Comes to its Home Base of Los Angeles

Orange, California: In an effort to strengthen the cultural understanding between Sikh Americans and their neighbors and raise awareness about a community with a more-than-125-year history in the United States, SikhLens will host its sixth annual Sikh Arts & Film Festival 2014 starting Friday, November 21. Showcasing the work of artists from various media including film, literature, music, art, social media and fashion, SikhLens allows attendees to better understand Sikh culture, values, stories, and struggles.

Bahaar – Unthinkable Burdon : a film on the real life story of a young Sikh male tortured by Indian police

Ontario, Canada (January 10, 2012): According to information shared by Canadian Sikh Coalition (CSC) with Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) the organization is going to present "Bhaar" - a film on the real life story of a young Sikh male who was subjected to torture by the Indian police.
