US Sikhs go beyond protests to raise awareness about November 1984 Sikh Genocide

Ludhiana (November 07, 2009): In an email sent to SikhSiyasat Network by Sikhs for Justice, some section of media is said to have reported that after twenty-five years of the 1984 anti-Sikh Massacre in India, the US-based Sikh organisations have moved away from demonstrations to a "justice awareness campaign".

Sikh for Justice Protests Kamal Nath’s Visit to US

Sikhs for Justice condemns the visit of India’s Union Minister for Road and Transport, presently in United States to meet with World Bank officials and other financiers in an effort to attract investors. In a statement sent to SikhSiyasat Network attorney Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, legal advisor for Sikhs for Justice, said that Minister Kamal Nath was indicted by a high ranking investigative commission on allegations that he led a mob that killed Sikhs during a November 1984 massacre that followed the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
