Chandigarh: Online messaging App giant WhatsApp is going to rollout a new feature that will enable WhatsApp group admins to decide that who can sent messages in that group. The latest beta testing update, available to registered beta testers only, has this feature. Having registered WhatsApp beta tester account, the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) verified the updated feature.
Once rolled out for all users, WhatsApp group admins will be able to choose between choose who can sent messages to their group. There are two option “All participants” and “Only admins”. If a group admin selects “Only admins” then other participants of the group won’t be able to post messages in that group.
The feature is likely to increase utility of WhatsApp groups in specific cases, especially for broadcasters who will be able to invite people to join their broadcast.
