Women accused of Ghawaddi beadbi incident shot dead near Ludhiana

Ludhiana: A women was reportedly shot dead in Ludhiana by two men riding a motorcycle. The deceased is identified as Balwinder Kaur, 45, who was accused of committing beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib in a village Gurdwara Sahib in Ghawaddi on Oct. 19, 2015.

Balwinder Kaur, 45, resident of Ghawaddi village, was arrested in the beadbi case but she was later released on bail.

Police said someone invited Kaur outside Gurdwara Manji Sahib, Alamgir, on Tuesday. She, along with her son, reached there in an auto-rickshaw, when the unidentified men riding a motorcycle fired at Balwinder Kaur. She reportedly died on the spot.
