Court case filed against team of Nanak Shah Fakir

Bathinda, Punjab: Members of Sikh Students Federation (Mehta) have reportedly filed a court case against the makers and actors of Nanak Shah Fakir movie. Mehta Federation had also staged statewide protest against Nanak Shah Fakir film on March 25.

Talking to media persons in local press club Bathinda (Rural) district present Paramjeet Singh Jaggi and Bathinda (Urban) district president Harjinder Singh Kaka said that the makers and actor of Nanak Shah Fakir film have offended the Sikh feeling by violating established Sikh tenets which prohibits depiction of Sikh Gurus.

Mehta Federation leaders told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that leaders of SSF (Mehta) held a meeting Giani Gurmukh Singh, Jathedar of Takhat Damdama Sahib and resolved to take legal action against makers of the Nanak Shah Movie which ‘offends’ feelings of the Sikh community.
