Sikhs and Kashmiris protest outside Indian Embassy in London

London: Activists of Sikh and Kashmiri diaspora organizations held a protest demonstration outside Indian Embassy in London to mark India’s Independence day as “Black Day”.

Representatives of Federation of Sikh Organizations, Sikh Federation UK, Council of Khalistan, United Khalsa Dal UK, Shiromani Akali Dal UK, Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar, Dharam Youdh Jatha Damdami Taksal, Dal Khalsa UK and International Panthic Dal took part in this demonstration.

Demonstrators criticised Indian government for repressing minorities to head with their Hindutva agenda. They protested against the denial of human rights by India, the foremost of which being the right of self-determination, India’s record as a serial violator of international law was identified as a major threat to peace in South Asia.
