Ludhiana (September 10, 2012): According to information shared by Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur, Secretary General of Akali Dal Panch Pardhani, the next court hearing against Bhai Mandeep Singh for attempting to kill Dalip Kumar, a Bihari migrant inside police station at Sahnewa, would be held on September 13, 2012.
Dalip Kumar, a Bihari factory worker, along with other co-workers disturbed the Sri Akhand Path Sahib at Guru Ajran Dev Gurudwara Sahnewal on the intervening night of August 30 and 31. He committed extreme act of disrespect towards Sri Guru Granth Sahib. He was captured by the Gurudwara Sewadars and was handed over to the police and was later shot at by a local Sikh Bhai Mandeep Singh inside the police station on August 31, 2012.
Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur informed “Sikh Siyasat News” that Bhai Mandeep Singh would not be produced in Ludhiana court on September 13 as his court hearing would be held via video conferencing from jail.
