BJP bringing the communal cauldron to a boil: Dal Khalsa

January 23, 2011 | By

Amritsar (January 21, 2011): Coming down heavily on the Bharatiya Janta Party for planning to hoist the Tricolour at Lal Chowk in Srinagar on January 26, the Dal Khalsa said the Hindutva force was smoldering the communal cauldron under the garb of patriotism.

Party’s secretary for political affairs Kanwar Pal Singh in a statement said that the BJP was bringing the communal cauldron to a boil through sensational ideas.

Reacting to the Sangh and the BJP’s legal cell decision to provide covert legal help to both Swami Aseemanand and the Indresh Kumar, he alleged that the BJP leaders have two faces and double tongue.

He said the soft approach of the establishment in dealing with RSS leader Indresh was a cause of deep worry. The greatest danger by the RSS was that they are carrying out terror activities in the name of real nationalism. The language of violence has become a central feature of Hindutva politics, he said.

Despite the fact that involvement of the hardcore activists of the RSS and Abhinav Bharat in terror acts has come into open, the New Delhi has failed to ban these groups under terror law, he rued.

The arrest of members of Saffron organizations (read RSS and Abhinav Bharat) has shattered the myth that terrorism has only “green” colour, he said.

Describing the BJP’s denial as sham and ridiculous he said Rahul Gandhi’s statement on the danger posed by Hindutva terrorism was not wrong.

Taking exception over the confession of Swami Aseemanand in terrorist’s attacks, he said it seems to be a ploy to stop the buck on him. “In order to save the skin of RSS high-ups, Swami has confessed to prevent the investigation for going further”.
