Canadian Sikhs to mark April as annual Sikh Heritage Month; Opening in Ontario on April 1

BRAMPTON, ON.: The Sikh Heritage Month Foundation along with the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) and City of Brampton have announced the third annual Sikh Heritage Month. The Sikh Heritage Month Foundation said in a statement issued on March 27: “[b]uilding on the incredible success off the past 2 years, we have continued to collaborate with a variety of community organizations to provide dynamic programming to the community. Connect with your neighbours this April and experience Sikh Heritage through art and history exhibitions, performances, workshops, concerts, talks and interactive demonstrations”.

“Join us on Saturday April 1st from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) for the official Opening Night for Sikh Heritage Month 2017. With an anticipated attendance of 1000 visitors, Opening Night promises to live up to its reputation as a vibrant, energy filled evening that promises to provide a great sneak peak of the month to ahead”, the statement reads further.

“Enjoy a musical concert, talks with community leaders on current world issues, theatrical performances, art exhibitions and visit the first ever Community Hub where various local charities and organizations will be providing information on how volunteering opportunities as well as treat your senses to delicious Punjabi cuisine”, the statement issued by Harman Singh reads further.
