Conference on Sri Guru Grant Sahib at Sikh Gurdwara San Jose on Sept 14

San Jose (September 08, 2013): It is learnt that Sikh Gurdwara San Jose and Chardi Kalaa Foundation is going to hold 2nd annual conference on Sri Guru Granth Sahib from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturday, September 14, 2013.

The theme of the conference is “Sri Guru Granth Sahib – Message and Relevance around the World Today”.

As per information shared by the organizers Dr. I J Singh (New York), Dr. Nikki Gurinder Kaur (Colby College), Prof. Rahuldeep Singh (California Lutheran University), S. Jarnial Singh Journalist (Delhi, India), Dr. Inderjit Kaur (UC Santa Cruz), Dr. Sangeeta Luthra (Santa Clara University), Sn. Jessi kaur (IICS Now), Sn. Meeta Kaur, Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh (Sikh Gurdwara San Jose), Dr. Inder Mohan Singh (Chardi Kalaa Foundation) shall be participating in the conference.

According to organizers the speakers shall be presenting their papers/views on following subjects during the conference:

• “Is message of Gurbani as relevant today for us in the US, as it was for Sikhs in Punjab 500 years ago?”.
• “Sri Guru Granth Sahib’s perspective on current theological and social issues”.
• “Sri Guru Granth Sahib and Social Justice”.
• “Shabad as Guru”.
• “Adressing Economic Inequalities in the Modern world”.
• “Conflict resolution, Peace and Harmony in Present World”.
• “Relationship between Freewill and Destiny?”.
• Harmonious Marital Life by following Sri Guru Granth Sahib”.
• “Science Vs. Faith in Gurbani”.
