London, UK (January 13, 2014): As per information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) the documentary evidence has emerged, 30 years on, of direct British Government assistance to the Indian Government in the June 1984 genocide of Sikhs in Punjab.

Top Secret UK government documents, released under the UK 30-year disclosure rule, reveal direct British Government military support to the Indian government in its preparation and carrying out of the notorious genocidal military onslaught on Punjab in June 1984.

The UK Government documents, dated 6th and 23th February 1984, state that the Indian government has sought advice from the British Government on the removal of “Sikh extremists from the Golden Temple in Amritsar” and the British Foreign Secretary has decided to “respond favourably to the Indian request”.

A UK SAS military office was sent to assist the Indian government.

Copies of the ‘top secret’ documents, recently released under 30-year disclosure rule are available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN).
