Decoding Kuldip Nayar’s recent article opposing Sikh memorial for Saka June 1984 – Talkshow: Qaumi Masle [Ep.4]

Ludhiana, Punjab (July 08, 2012): Sikh Siyasat Multimedia has released latest episode of talk-show “Qaumi Masle” today. This fortnightly talk-show focuses on vital/current issues concerning the Sikh nation.

The recent episode released today focused on senior Indian journalist Kuldip Nayar’s recent article – “Endangering Peace of Punjab”.

S. Baljeet Singh, presenter of the talk-show said that Kuldip Nayar’s assaultive remarks were taken very seriously by the Sikh nation, therefore Sikh Siyasat Multimedia decided to take up the issue in the fortnightly talk-show Qaumi Masle.

He informed that Sikh scholars S. Gurtej Singh (former IAS), S. Ajmer Singh and Sikh youth leader S. Parmjeet Singh Gazi (President of Sikh Students Federation) participated in this discussion.

S. Gurtej Singh opined Kuldip Nayar’s remarks are not taken as the remarks of a mere individual by the Sikh nation, rather it was taken as expression of anti-Sikh approach of the institutional persona to which Kuldip Nayar represents.

He said fascist approach of ruling elite of India and it’s greed for absolute power is evident from the text of this article.

S. Ajmer Singh, while decoding the ideological persona of Kuldip Nayar, presented many historical references to support his argument.

S. Parmjeet Singh Gazi said Kuldip Nayar’s writeup explains that how intolerant he is, towards the fact of distinctiveness and uniqueness of Sikh identity.
