New Delhi (July 06, 2012): While Judge Judge K.S. Pal heard the arguments in the case of Tytler for his role in organizing the killing of Sikhs during November 1984, Sikh Genocide victims and survivors demanded that Government of India should not allow Tytler to lead Indian Olympics delegate.

Karnail Singh, President of AISSF (Peermohammad) stated that “allowing Tytler to lead the National Squad during 2012 London Olympics will bring Indian democracy into bad repute because of his involvement in organizing and leading attacks on Sikhs which is widely known to the international community”.

Instead of sending Tytler behind bars for his crimes, he is being sent to U.K. to represent in an international event, which gives a clear message that perpetrators of November 1984 will never be punished, he added.

Babu Singh Dukhiya, President of “National 1984 Victims Justice and Welfare Society” who is spearheading the campaign seeking justice for the victims of Sikh Genocide stated that for the last 27 years, Congress governments have been shielding Tytler from prosecution. On one hand, PM Manmohan wants Sikh victims to move on without any justice while on the other hand Tytler who led the attack on Sikhs in Delhi is being rewarded with position of the head of Indian Olympics delegation added Dukhiya.

AISSF, SFJ and victims of November 1984 have already submitted the memorandum to Sir James Bevan KCMG, the British High Commissioner to India, urging that Tytler who is responsible for orchestrating genocidal attacks on Sikhs during November 1984 should not be allowed to enter the UK. Recently, UK denied visa to Syrian Chief of Olympics for his alleged role in human rights violation in Syria.
