Gurdaspur Lok Sabha By-Election On 11th October, Model Code Of Conduct Enforced

Chandigarh: The Election Commission of India here on Tuesday announced bye election schedule for Gurdaspur Lok Sabha Constituency.

While disclosing this here a spokesman of office of Chief electoral officer Punjab said that notification will be issued in this regard on September 15, 2017 and last date of submission of nomination Papers will be September 22, 2017. He further said that scrutiny of papers will be done on September 25,2017 and last date for the withdrawal of the nomination Paper is September 27, 2017.
Furthermore, the spokesman said polling will be held on October 11,2017 and counting of votes and result will be declared on October 15, 2017. He said with the announcement of bye election for Gurdaspur Lok Sabha constituency model code of conduct is enforced in Gurdaspur and Pathankot district with immediate effect.
