Initiative To Translate Japji Sahib Into Mandarin Lauded

Amritsar:  As per the media reports the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) president Prof Kirpal Singh Badungar here on Monday lauded the efforts of Rajinder Singh, a diaspora Sikh and Vanessa Choe, a China-based woman, for the translation of Japji Sahib in Mandarin  language.

While addressing the media persons Kirpal Singh Badungar said that the translation of Japji Sahib in Mandarin, the Gurubani of Guru Nanak Dev would reach across the world. He said, “Guru Nanak Dev ji has always taught us humanism and communal harmony in his preaching and it will benefit Chinese people where they recognise him as Baba Fusa.” The SGPC chief added that the organisation would honour them both as per Sikh traditions.

Further adding to his statement he said that efforts are on to spread the message of Gurubani and preaching the teachings of Sikh Guru Sahibs through translating it into other major world languages.
