Jagmeet Singh MPP’s statement at Legislative Assembly of Ontario on Sikh Genocide 1984

Ontario: Jagmeet Singh, MPP (Bramalea—Gore—Malton), made a statement in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario about the Sikh Genocide 1984.

“On the 32nd anniversary of the 1984 Sikh Genocide, let us honour those who lost their lives by committing to stand in solidarity with all survivor communities” reads a post by Jagmeet Singh on the Facebook.

“Let us acknowledge and remember those who lost their lives by giving the gift of life and by committing to work towards the recognition and acknowledgement of all genocides”, the post reads further.

Whereas other parties have refused to use the word “Genocide,” Jagmeet Singh is the only one to use the term, pushing the government to understand and recognize it as such.
