Nomination Papers Of All 11 Candidates Valid For Gurdaspur Bye Election, Says CEO

Chandigarh: Scrutiny of nomination paper for the upcoming Gurdaspur Parliamentary bye Election to be held today and all the nomination papers were found valid.

Disclosing this here today Additional Chief Electoral Officer Punjab Mr. Manpreet Singh IAS said that papers of Mr. Swaran Salaria of Bhartiya Janta Party, Mr. Sunil Kumar Jakhar of Indian National Congress, Mr. Suresh Kumar Khajuria of Aam Aadmi Party, Mrs. Santosh Kumari of Megh Desham Party, Mr. Kulwant Singhof Shiromani Akali Dal (Maan Dal), Rajinder Singh of Hindustan Shakti Sena and Satnam Singh, Sandeep Kumar, Pardeep Kumar, Parvinder Singh and Pawan Kumar (all 5 independents) are valid.
He further said that last date for the withdrawal of the nomination paper is September 27, 2017.
