Pakistani Punjabi Poet Afzal Ahsan Randhawa who penned the pain of June 1984 Ghallughara passes away

Chandigarh: Famous Pakistani Punjabi literator Afzal Ahsan Randhawa passed away today. In an update on Afzal Ahsan Randhawa’s Facebook profile his family members said: Our beloved father Muhammad Afzal Ahsan Randhawa (Ex MNA&Writer, Poet) Passed away today 1.17am.His Namaz aey Janaza will be held at 1.30pm at Qaim Sayan Qabarastan , Green View Colony Rajay Wala, Faisalabad.GRIEVING: RANDHAWA FAMILY.

Afzal Ahsan Randhawa was specially regarded amongst the Sikh circles for his poem “Navan Ghallughara” in which he had powerfully depicted the pain of June 1984 Ghallughara. The poem was penned by Afzal Ahsan Randhawa on 9 June 1984.
