Chandigarh, Punjab (April 05, 2013): According to information available with Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) the Punjabi movie Sadda Haq was not released on April 05 in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pardesh.
The movie was banned by Punjab government on April 04 under pressure from bureaucracy and Punjab police, that had feared that their black past shall be exposed by the events screened by the movie.
Though there is no clear report in media that whether the ban was officially imposed on the movie in Haryana, Delhi or Uttar Pardesh by respective government; it has been reported by various media circles that the movie was not released on April 05 in these states.
Update: Day and Night News has reported that Chandigarh Administration and Haryana Government have also imposed ban on the movie.
Meanwhile, the movie has hit screens in United Kingdom, America and Canada. According to information shared by Sadda Haq team the movie has been approved by Austrian film certification authorities and it shall be screened in Australia also.
