Shoe Hurled at AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal in Haryana; Kejriwal Says Narendra Modi is Coward

Haryana: As per media reports a young man hurled a shoe at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader as he was addressing a rally in Haryana. It hit an edge of the stage but fell short of Kejriwal.

Arvind Kejriwal, who is also chief Minister of Delhi, was speaking against Narendra Modi government’s ‘demonetisation’ move.

Arvind Kejriwal later took to twitter to blame Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for shoe hurling episode.

“मैंने कहा था मोदीजी कायर हैं। आज अपने चमचों से जूता फिंकवाया।मोदीजी, हम भी ये कर सकते हैं पर हमारे संस्कार/तहज़ीब हमें इजाज़त नहीं देते(1/2)” [I had said that Modiji is a coward. Today (he) got a shoe hurled (at me). Modiji, we too can get this done but our values does not permit us(1/2)], reads a tweet by Arvind Kejriwal (originally posed in Hindi).

“आप चाहे जूता फिंकवाओ या CBI रेड कराओ, नोटबंदी घोटाले और सहारा बिरला रिश्वतख़ोरी का सच मैं बताता रहूँगा(2/2)” [(You may get shoes hurled or order CBI raids (against me), (but) I shall continue to speak the truth about demonetisation scam and Sahara Birla corruption (2/2)], reads second part of the tweet.
