Amritsar, Punjab (October 08, 2013): To celebrate the 479th Parkash Gurpurb of Guru Ramdas Ji, hundreds of Sikh volunteers have gone into the streets of Amritsar, Punjab, to collect garbage during the entire time of the religious procession attended by thousands.
Amritsar, Punjab (October 05, 2013): Eco-Amritsar, an initiative of USA based EcoSikh, extends its collaboration with SGPC by assisting in eco friendly initiatives, during the Parkash Gurpurb celebrations of Amritsar’s Founder, Guru Ramdas ji. Guru Ramdas has invoked nature as God's reflection in his writings, and this inspiration shall be advocated through suitable action and awareness campaign during the celebrations.
Washington, (September 19, 2013): According to a press statement by EcoSikh around 300 people gathered for the EcoSikh's Gala Event to support the environmental efforts by this four year old organization. Sikh representatives from various gurdwaras and youth from all across the Washington area and as far as Virginia and Baltimore came to participate. According to the organizers, this was the largest gathering of the community supporting global environmental agenda.

Amritsar, Punjab (July 11, 2013): As per information the "Amritsar Sthapana Diwas" (Amritsar Foundation Day) was celebrated with much enthusiasm over a three day period by Eco-Amritsar, an initiative of Washington-based EcoSikh, and its partner organizations. Hundreds of people participated in several separate events organized all over the city by various stakeholders, including religious programs, art shows by city artists, educational seminar and marches by Gurdwaras and several organizations.

Lahore, Pakistan (March 16, 2013): It is learnt that for the first time, 35 gurdwaras in Pakistan mainly in Sindh and Balochistan, and in Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Nanak, joined Sikh institutions in India and abroad in observing Sikh Environment Day.
Chandigarh/ Punjab (March 14, 2013): Tens of thousands of Sikhs across the world celebrated the Sikh Environment Day today. EcoSikh, a Washington based organization, had received confirmation from 1,550 Sikh Gurdwaras, organizations and institutions from India and abroad in response to their appeal to celebrate March 14, 2013 as Sikh Environment Day for the third consecutive year.
Sri Hazur Sahib, Nanded (February 28, 2013): According to a press release by EcoSikh, Jathedar Sardar Kulwant Singh from Takhat Sri Hazur Sahib has released a message for the Sikhs to plant one tree on the occasion of Sikh Environment Day on March 14 as a token of love for Guru Har Rai Ji, the Seventh Guru on his Gurgaddi Diwas.

This marks the coronation day of 7th Sikh Guru, Guru Har Rai, who is remembered ifor his deep sensitivity to nature.
Washington, United States (December 22, 2012): EcoSikh, an international environmental body, launched an art and a creativity contest for youth of Punjab in collaboration with a Punjab NGO called Sukrit. Hundreds of Students from all across North India are expected to take part in this unique competition.

Hyderabad, India (October 16, 2012): According to a press statement dated: October 15, 2012 released by the EcoSikh, an NGO, the Sikh Educational Society and Sikhs in Hyderabad gave a warm welcome to EcoSikh, to receive EcoSikh’s environmental vision. Executive members from over 18 Gurdwaras and Social Sikh organizations joined this meeting at Hotel Katriya, Hyderabad today.
Hyderabad/India (October 14, 2012): On the 7th day of the U.N.’s COP 11 of the Convention on Biological Diversity in Hyderabad, eleven of India’s holy towns and cities came together to launch the India chapter of the international Green Pilgrimage Network (GPN).
Kurukshetra, Haryana (March 1, 2012): As per information available with "Sikh Siyasat" Sikh environmental activist gathered today to plan for direct action day on Sikh Environment Day on March 14, which is the coronation day of the 7th Sikh Guru , Guru Har Rai. This is the largest meeting of Sikhs on environment in Haryana and first ever joint action plan being launched by participating organizations including the apex body, SGPC. Prominent Sikh personalities joined together to give a call for the community to mark this day to work for save environment.
