Punjabi singer-turned actor Gippy Grewal's new video song "Zaalim" received much appreciation over social media, in particular from various Sikh audience but at the same time the song video and the singer is struck by a controversy with leaders of the Congress party demanding the registration of a case against him for allegedly glorifying "militancy".

Chandigarh/ Punjab (April 16, 2013): Punjabi singer-cum-actor Gippy Grewal has urged the Punjab government to lift the ban from Punjabi movie Sadda Haq. The movie was banned in Punjab - the home state of the producer Kuljinder Sidhu and Dinesh Sood on late night of April 4, just hours before it's release. Later the movie was also banned in Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh.
