Bhai Mardana Memorial Kirtan Darbar Society has called upon Sikh devotees who wish to attend Prakash Gurpurab celebrations of Guru Nanak Ji at Gurdwara Nankana Sahib in Pakistan to submit their passports before 25th August.
A day after making an announcement to hand over the ‘kar sewa’ of Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib to the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhdak Committee (SGPC), the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC) has clarified that there were certain pre-conditions to the handing over of the Kar Seva. PSGPC said that the SGPC needs to fulfil these condition before getting the ‘kar sewa’.
The Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC) and the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) have decided to hand over the “kar sewa” of historic Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib to the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC).
The executive committee of the Pakistan Sikh Gurudwara Parbandhik Committee held a meeting to chalk out the plans for 'Kar Sewa' of Gurudwaras. The meeting was attended by PSGPC President, members and other office bearers besides Chairman of Aukaf Board.
Gurudwara Dera Sahib, Lahore, is one of the most important Sikh holy sites in Pakistan. The building of the gurdwara stands next to the Shaheedi Asthān or memorial of Guru Arjun Dev, the fifth Sikh Guru, hence is also known as the Gurdwara Panjvin Patshahi.
