Court Order Directing Compensation to Jodhpur (June 1984) Sikh Detainees: Punjab AG Advises Government Against Filing Appeal

As per media reports the Advocate-General of Punjab has advised the statement government against filing of appeal against an Amritsar court order directing the Centre and state governments to award compensation of Rs 4 lakh each to 40 Sikhs who were detained in a Jodhpur jail for four to five years after invasion of Indian Army at Darbar Sahib Amritsar complex in June 1984.
