The family members of Kuljeet Singh Dhatt, a relative of Shaheed Bhagat Singh who was subjected to enforced disappearance and was killed in fake encounter by the Punjab police, has moved to the Punjab and Haryana High court demanding judicial inquiry into revelation of fake encounter killings by former cop Gurmeet Pinky.
Toronto, Canada (Sept. 29): Parkash Kaur, the younger sister of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, died in Canada on Sept. 28, 2014. She was 96 and was living in Toronto. She was the only surviving member of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh's immediate family.
Hoshiarpur, Punjab (May 9, 2014): A Hoshiarpur court today pronounced a 25 years old case related to enforced disappearance of Kuljit Singh Dhatt. Dhatt was the son-in-law of Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s sister Parkash Kaur.
Hoshiarpur, Punjab (January 28, 2014): It is learnt that a retired Sessions judge HL Randev, who had probed the enforced disappearance of Shaheed Bhagat Singh's kin and an ex-sarpanch of Ambala Jattan Kuljit Singh Dhatt, appeared in the court of additional sessions judge JS Bhinder Hoshiarpur on January 27 to testify the report submitted by him to the Supreme Court in 1993.
