Nankana Sahib/ Amritsar, (November 19, 2013): It is learnt that two Sikh Yatris to Sikh Gurdwaras in Pakistan died during their stay at Nankana Sahib. As per information Atma Singh, resident of Mukatsar and Shingara Singh resident of Tarn Taran died due to heart attack at around 2am on November 18.
Nankana Sahib, Pakistan (November 16, 2013): A large number of Sikh Yatris from various countries have reportedly arrived in Pakistan to celebrate the 545th Parkash Gurpurb of Guru Nanak Sahib Ji.
Amritsar, Punjab (November 16, 2013): It is learnt that more than two thousand Sikh yatris left for Nankana Sahib in three special trains from Atari Railway station on November 15, 2013. This comprised a 774-member jatha by Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC). These Sikhs shall be taking part in Samagams related to Parkash Gurpurb of Guru Nanak Sahib Ji.
Amritsar, Punjab (November 15, 2013): It is learnt that a 774-member jatha led by Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) officials will leave for Pakistan on November 15 to take part in samagams to be held at Nankana Sahib to observe Parkash Gurpurb of Guru Nanak ji.
Wagha/Lahore, Pakistan (November 13, 2013): It is learnt that tight security arrangements have been made in Pakistan for the Sikh yatris visiting various places in wake of celebrations of Parkash Gurpurb of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. As per reports Pakistan Railways Police (PRP) said on November 12 that foolproof security arrangement have been finalised for Sikh yatrees.
Amritsar, Punjab (November 7, 2013): According to information released by the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) secretary Dalmegh Singh a Sikh jatha will leave for Pakistan on November 15 to mark the Parkash Gurpurb of Guru Nanak Ji at Gurdwara Nankana Sahib. In a press release, a copy of which is available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), SGPC secretary Dalmegh Singh has said the jatha would be led by SGPC member Randhir Singh Cheema.
