New Delhi, India (April 25, 2013): According to information available with Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) the Supreme Court of India shall hold a hearing on a petition moved by the producers of the Sadda Haq Punjabi Movie against the ban imposed by Punjab, Haryana, Chandgarh, Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir governments on the screening of the movie.
Ludhiana, Punjab (April 20, 2013): According to information shared by Sadda Haq Punjabi Movie's producers at Official Facebook Fans page of the movie, the film is going to be screened in Italy on April 20.
Chandigarh/ Punjab (April 16, 2013): Punjabi singer-cum-actor Gippy Grewal has urged the Punjab government to lift the ban from Punjabi movie Sadda Haq. The movie was banned in Punjab - the home state of the producer Kuljinder Sidhu and Dinesh Sood on late night of April 4, just hours before it's release. Later the movie was also banned in Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh.
New Delhi, India (April 11, 2013): It is learnt that on April 11, 2013 the actor-producer Kuljinder Sidhu moved to the Supreme Court of India against the ban imposed on his film ‘Sadda Haq’ by state governments of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi.
Jalndhar/ Chandigarh, Punjab (April 10, 2013): It is learnt that people of Punjab took to streets in solidarity with Sadda Haq team, while demanding removal of ban on imposed by Punjab government on the screening of the movie.
Karnal/Patiala, Haryana/Punjab (April 10, 2013): It is learnt that two Haryana theaters - Harsha K3C and MovieTime (Super-mall) continued to screen the Punjabi film Sadda Haq for four consecutive days despite state government banning it.
New York, United States (April 9, 2013): Challenging the unconstitutional blanket ban on “Sadda Haq” by the Punjab SAD (Badal) Government, US based Sikh rights group declared to promote the movie and to sponsor the release of its English version worldwide.
London, United Kingdom (April 08, 2013): The Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be visiting Germany on Wednesday for a 3-day visit. He will hold talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin from Wednesday. The main purpose of his visit is to get support for the India-European Union Foreign Trade Agreement (FTA).

Two young Hindu boys were killed by some unknown persons on a day in early 1980s in Majha region of Punjab. A Journalist who was deployed at Amritsar by a news agency because of his Sikh appearance, while ideologically he had a leftist approach, was asked to send a specified news-story on this matter.

Chandigarh/ Punjab (April 6, 2013): Protesting against the ban imposed by Punjab Government on Sadda Haq Punjabi movie the producer and actor Kuljinder Sidhu has termed the ban as shameful. The film was released worldwide on Friday, April 5. However, a day ahead of the release of the film on Thursday (April 4), Punjab government decided to ban the film fearing communal tension.
