Chandigarh/ Ludhaina (January 26, 2014): As per information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) Bhai Lakhwinder Singh and Bhai Shamsher Singh returned to the Chandigarh Model Jail, Burail this evening after completing 28 days parole. Duo were released on parole on December 27, 2013 after 44 days long hunger strike protest by Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa.
Mohali, Punjab (January 12, 2013): The Bandi Singhs Rihai Committee, that was formed to assist Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa during his hunger strike seeking release of 6 Sikh political prisoners recently addressed media to explain the progress in this matter since the conclusion of 44 days long hunger strike protest of Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa.

New Delhi/Ludhiana, India/Punjab (December 04, 2012): It is learnt that Bhai Satnam Singh Paunta Sahib and Tejinderpal Singh who, sent back to India in 2000 after serving a life term in Pakistan for hijacking an Air India plane to Pakistan in 1981, have moved the Delhi High Court for quashing a fresh trial against them in India for the same act.
Ludhiana (September 02, 2012): A Delhi based Indian Court is reported to have issued “non-bailable” warrants against five Sikhs who were involved in hijacking an Air India plane to Pakistan in 1981. It is notable that only two of the five persons currently reside in India.
