Toronto, Canada (September 19, 2011): Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) a human rights advocacy group which is spearheading the justice campaign for the victims of November 1984 announced that on November 1, 2011 a “Genocide Motion” will be brought in the Canadian Parliament. The Motion will debate whether organized killing of Sikhs in India during November 1984 was “Genocide” as defined in Article 2 of the UN Convention on Genocide.
New York, USA (August 31, 2011): Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) approached United Nations by submitting Memorandum to Honorable Heiner Bielefeldt, UN "Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion or Belief" demanding UN's immediate intervention to impress upon Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's government to amend article 25 of the Indian Constitution to restore the independent status of Sikhism.
Ludhiana (August 29, 2011): The American Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (ASGPC) has made an appeal to Sikhs voting for the upcoming Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) elections for a written promise from candidates contesting elections that they would promote religious agenda of the Sikh nation.
London (August 23, 2011): In September 2003 the Sikh Federation (UK), a non-governmental organisation that acts as a pressure group, but is often referred to as the first and only Sikh political party in the UK, was set up with a UK membership base and branches across the country.
New York (August 19, 2011): On August 12, 2011 Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) filed response to Kamal Nath’s efforts to seek immunity in the Sikh Genocide Case pending before US Federal Court against Nath’s role in attack on Gurudwara Rakab Ganj in November 1984.
Toronto, Canada (August 14, 2011): Indians in Toronto celebrated country's independence day at Yonge-Dundas Square, Toronto. On the other hand across the street from Yonge-Dundas Square in front of the Eaton Centre, Sikhs and members of a civil rights group called Sikhs for Justice protested against Indian atrocities. The protest called the government of India “undemocratic” and “hypocratic.”
London, UK (August 11, 2011): UK's Prime Minister David Cameron today hailed the contribution of Sangat TV, a Birmingham-based Sikh Television channel, in dealing with the riots.
Birmingham, UK (August 11, 2011): Sangat TV, a Sikh television operated from Edgbaston, Birmingham, has been highly praised for their heroic reporting of the Birmingham riots using just the most minimal of equipment.
Southall, London (August 10, 2011): Following a series of violence, arson and rioting Sikh volunteered to stood as guards at various city Gurudwaras in Southall. As per reports as many as 200 to 300 Sikhs of mixed age groups gathered in various Gurudwaras across Southall to safeguard their place of worship from rioters.
Birmingham (August 09, 2011): Birmingham based Sikh TV channel, "Sangat TV" switched to live news coverage of the riots and unrest in Birmingham.
London (August 04, 2011): On 30 June the Foreign Secretary Rt. Hon. William Hague MP met with Indian External Affairs Minister S M Krishna. The Indian Express on 1 July reported the British Foreign Secretary William Hague assured India that they will curb “anti-India demonstrations” by Sikhs.
United Nations is called upon to intervene and save Professor Devenderpal Singh Bhullar from “judicial murder in India” pursuant UN General Assembly Resolution 62/149 of 2008.
London (July 28, 2011): The Sikh Federation (UK) that has over 180 affiliated member organisations, including Gurdwaras, local youth and women's groups, groups for the elderly and other local Sikh organisations in the UK has sent a letter via email to the SGPC regarding the June 1984 Memorial.

London (July 24, 2011): The ISYF was banned in the UK more than 10 years ago in March 2001 and this was widely acknowledged at that time by many UK politicians, including Ministers that this was a direct result of pressure from the Indian authorities.
New York, NY (July 22, 2011): "Thousands will attend a historic protest rally on Monday, July 25th from Noon-2:00 p.m. at the United Nation’s Headquarters (47th Street, Between 1st & 2nd Avenues) to demand the U.N. intervention to stop India’s planned execution of Professor Devenderpal S. Bhullar, an innocent man that has been repeatedly tortured by the Indian police.
California, US (June 12, 2011): As per Amrik Singh's special report published by "Examiner.Com", Stockton's historical Landmark 'Pacific Coast Khalsa Diwan Society' hosted a press conference on July 10, 2011 to campaign against death penalty to Professor Davinderpal Singh Bhullar. Sikh religious societies and human rights organizations participated in the meeting. Professor Bhullar's mother Mrs. Upkar Kaur was a special invitee.
California, USA (July 5, 2011): A U.S. federal prosecutor dropped criminal charges against a Sikh for wearing his kirpan into a federal facility. To the Sikh Coalition’s knowledge, this is the first time that a federal prosecutor has ever dropped criminal charges against a Sikh for carrying a kirpan.
