The charges were related to unlawful activities, illegal possession of explosives and firearms.

Ludhiana/Jalandhar, Punjab (November 05, 2012): According to information available with Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) Jaswant Singh Azad, a British Citizen who was booked by Jalandhar police under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, has been booked in another case under UA(P)A by Ludhiana police.
Jalandhar, Punjab (October 26, 2012): It is learnt that on October 25, 2012 Akali Dal Panch Pardhani leader Bhai Daljit Singh was produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate Daisy Bangar by a police party headed by Bimal Kumar, SHO of Division number 8 police station (Jalandhar). Police told the court to send Bhai Daljit Singh in judicial custody and did not sought further police remand.
Jalandhar (October 25, 2012): It is learnt that the Jalandhar Police, Kapurthala jail authorities, Chief Medical Officer (CMO, Civil Hospital) Jalandhar have failed to get Bhai Kulvir Singh Barapind examined by a medical board despite court's order in this regard.
Jalandhar, Punjab (October 22, 2012): According to information the Jalandhar Police today produced Bhai Daljit Singh, former President of Akali Dal Panch Pardhani, in the court of Judicial Magistrate (Jalnadhar) Daisy Bangar on demanded his police remand for 3 days. He is reportedly booked in F.I.R. 216/2012, initially registered against a British national Jaswant Singh Azad under sections 121, 121A, 120B (IPC); section 25 (Arms Act); Sections 10, 13, 17, 18B, 20, 38, 39 and 40 Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
