Chandigarh/ Punjab (February 08, 2014): Dismayed over British Foreign Secretary William Hague’s disclosure that the UK had advised India on the planning and execution of Operation Blue Star, Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), an international human rights group, has said it will file a complaint in the European Court of Human Rights against the UK for aiding, abetting and complicity in 1984 army invasion of the Darbar Sahib Amritsar.
According to a news reported by Malaysia Sun the SFJ has asked British Prime Minister David Cameron to issue a “Parliamentary Apology” by April 30.
As per news-report: the SFJ termed UK’s involvement in the 1984 attack as a criminal conspiracy to exterminate Sikhs.
Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, legal advisor of Sikhs for Justice, said: “If Prime Minister Cameron fails to issue a parliamentary apology by April 30, legal action will be initiated in The European Court of Human Rights against the UK for its complicity.”
