Patiala (July 25, 2012): As per media reports, Bibi Kamaldeep Kaur, sister of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana, whose is facing death sentence in Punjab CM Beant Singh assassination case, has demanded that his trial in a 17-year-old case regarding recovery of explosives be completed early, as police were causing inordinate delay in the case by not producing Rajoana in the court.

I read your statement in newspapers in which you had asked your Sikh brethren to stop portraying Kuldip Nayar as enemy of the Sikhs, keeping in view his past services towards the Sikhs, especially during 1984 tragic events. Significant supporter of Kesri Lehar’s campaign – “Wave for Justice” paid tribute to Kesri Lehar, Liberation, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch for their commitments to exposing the Indian Government’s failure to address the human rights abuses effectively.
Amritsar (June 20, 2012): The Sikh groups took serious view of the derogatory remarks published in the autobiography of veteran journalist Kuldeep Nayar and asked him to clear all false accusations within one weeks time, failing which they would be forced to write to Punjab government seeking ban on his book and also resorting to street protests.
As the month of June has passed, Canadian Sikhs, along with human rights activists and their allies, are recovering from yet another campaign of misinformation by the Indian High Commission and a recent wave of visceral and unfounded attacks.
Chandigarh, Punjab (July 22, 2012): In response to July 19 communication from Kuldip Nayar affirming his apology for hurting the sentiments of Sikh community with comments regarding Shaheed Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and Shaheed Bhai Amrik Singh, AISSF demanded that Nayar should tender his apology to Giani Gurbachan Singh Jathedar Sri Akal Takhat Sahib.
